A new year has begun
January is month number one.
It is the start of a whole new year,
There’s nothing to fear
A new year for trying
not for sighing
What goals can you make,
for your own sake,
For a better you,
for a year that is new!

American homes are some of the biggest and best in the world. Many have a garage for one or two cars, a big modern kitchen, a living room, and a playroomforthe ch11ildren.

Upstairs there are two bathrooms and three or foor bedrooms. Young Johnny sleeps in one room. His sister, Sally, has another. Their parents sleep in the third bedroom. There is another room for visitors.

Some families have two homes. They have one house or apartment in the city or suburbs. They live and work there. But they have another home near the sea or in the mountains. They go to their second home on weekends and for vacations.

Seventy percent of Americans buy the house they live in. They are lucky. But thirty percent cannot buy a house or an apartment. Some of them rent their home from a landlord. Some landlords are good, but some are not. Windows break, or roofs get old, and the landlord does not always help.

The poorest people live in public housing apartments. These apartments are not like rich American homes. People do not like to live in public housing projects. They are afraid of thieves and drug sellers.

Americans who live in towns and cities move often. A family stays in one house for four or five years, and then they move again. Some people move because they have found a new job. Other people move because they want a bigger or a smaller home. In American suburbs, families come and go all the time.

Americans are always trying to make their homes better. They take a lot of time to buy furniture and make their homes beautiful. They buy books and magazines about houses and furniture. They work hard on their homes in the evenings and on weekends.

Americans like to think the United States is a young country, but really it has a long and interesting history. You can see some of its history in the styles of the houses. The lovely pueblo houses of Native American villages, the old pioneer log cabins, the plantation houses in the South, the beautiful colonial homes of the Northeast - they are all a part of American history. They are part of modem America too, because people copy the old styles in new houses. The history lives on.

I enjoy eating out. I often have dinner in a good restaurant or cafe with my friends or my family. Ive got a couple of favourite places for eating out. One of them is â. Its a restaurant which offers excellent Japanese cuisine.



The prices arent quite low there, the average dinner is about 20-30 dollars for each person. But I prefer high quality and nice service, thats why I go to â once or twice a month.



The menu can fit any taste. There is a large selection of vegetarian dishes and special dishes for ch11ildren which include ch11icken, steak and pasta meals. There are also a lot of fantastic desserts to choose from. For a starter I normally have some seafood salad, and for the main course it is usually grilled salmon served with wild mushrooms and seasonal vegetables. Sometimes my meal is accompanied by a glass of dry wine. The favourite part of my dinner is the dessert. I am sure that “Tokyo” makes the best chocolate pudding I have ever tasted. So I always order this with a cup of black coffee.



We can have much fun in this restaurant because the food is cooked just in front of us and served by the chefs. We sit around the table for eight people. Our chef brings all ingredients to the table and starts a theatrical performance of preparing the food. The chef chops and grills meat, fish and vegetables. Then he serves our freshly cooked, juicy and steaming hot food. Both adults and ch11ildren enjoy the show.



I really love my evening meals at â restaurant. It offers outstanding food, great service and unforgettable entertainment.

in 195â€"225 million years. Climbers often come here, because climbing the Devils Tower is a difficult and interesting affair. However, if you want to make it, do not plan a trip for June. Locals consider the mountain sacred and object to the June ascents.

Suspension bridges are probably the only human creation in this unspoilt corner of nature. The flora and fauna of amazing variety: the flying lizards, wild flowers, orangutans, and even scientists have not yet described species. However, a walk on the bridges, which creak and sway at a 40-meter height, in the crowns of tropical trees, will certainly leave a much stronger impression.
